What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
- Lead and inspire a team of sales professionals, setting a standard of excellence, integrity and ethical sales practices.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers, emphasizing honesty and transparency in all transactions.
- Implement sales strategies, leveraging data and analytics to achieve targets.
- Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all sales department personnel.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless, high quality customer experience.
- Assist in closing deals.
- Utilize CRM for tracking and following-up on all sales leads.
- Manage showroom online and phone traffic.
- Proven experience as a sales manager or similar role in the automotive industry, ideally at a franchise dealership.
- Proficient knowledge of dealership computer systems, including CRM (CDK knowledge preferred).
- Excellent leadership, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- F&I experience or exposure preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screening.
