The ideal candidate will have franchised dealership sales management experience, the skill sets needed to be a superior manager and a growth mindset. What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Lead and inspire a team of sales professionals, setting a standard of excellence, integrity and ethical sales practices.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers, emphasizing honesty and transparency in all transactions.
  • Implement sales strategies, leveraging data and analytics to achieve targets.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all sales department personnel.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless, high quality customer experience.
  • Assist in closing deals.
  • Utilize CRM for tracking and following-up on all sales leads.
  • Manage showroom online and phone traffic.


What are the qualifications for the job of GSM?

  • Proven experience as a sales manager or similar role in the automotive industry, ideally at a franchise dealership.
  • Proficient knowledge of dealership computer systems, including CRM (CDK knowledge preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • F&I experience or exposure preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screening.
