There is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the administration team at Reading Train Care Depot as a Depot Administrator. The successful candidate will be assisting with clerical duties with the aim of supporting the depot Management team to help meet business needs.

Your main responsibilities will be :

  • Planning and organising Training and Assessments to ensure competencies are up to date
  • Note taking at fact finding interviews, divisional council meetings and any locally organised meeting where required to attend as note taker
  • Assisting with the administration of Depot Briefings
  • Maintaining competency filing and updating local spreadsheets
  • Issuing Depot Vehicle Permits
  • Upkeep of HR records
  • Booking hotels, taxis, and meeting rooms
  • Procurement
  • Additional tasks as specified by local manager

You'll need to be :

  • Well organised with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to communicate effectively (both verbally and written word)
  • Able to respond well under pressure and prioritise workload accordingly whilst using own initiative
  • Able to work as part of a team and with limited supervision
  • Able to build and develop relationships within a team
  • Able to keep a high level of confidentiality at all times and adhere to GDPR
  • As a minimum you'll need to have :

  • Experience of working in a fast paced and challenging office environment
  • Demonstrate strong time management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in appropriate IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A working knowledge of MS Outlook would be an advantage
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to learn new systems and skills
  • Previous Admin experience would be advantageous
  • Additional Information :

    This is a fixed-term position for 18 months and will require working Monday to Friday, core business hours. There might be a requirement occasionally, for some out of hours working on an ad-hoc basis to fulfil business requirements.
