Position Summary
Will work at the Whispering Pines OP Lab Collection Center, performing phlebotomy and specimen processing.
Responsibilities
Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary method from all age groups. Provides direction/education for the collection of urine , stool, breath tests and other laboratory services. Processes and prepares lab specimens for transport to the testing lab. Performs lab order entry and result distribution, in order to maintain continuity of care.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program, Medical Assisting Program, or a minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience. ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
