Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at FirstLight Home Care. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and preferences.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Help clients with mobility and physical activities, including lifting when necessary.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients in managing medications as prescribed.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist clients with mobility needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
