As a Home Health Aide at FirstLight Home Care, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate in-home support to clients. This position is essential in helping individuals maintain their dignity and independence while receiving the care they need in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure client health and safety.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Medication reminder as prescribed and assist with catheter care when necessary.
- Observe and report any changes in client condition to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client care activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
- Compassionate nature with a desire to help others maintain their independence.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on client needs.
