Seeking a experienced compassionate caregiver to care for a 52-year-old Male with Multiple Sclerosis, PTSD, and Depression. Client lives with Wife and has 2 medium size dogs in home. Client is Alert and Oriented, however does have periods of confusion Client has chronic pain and takes pain medications. Caregiver needed to provide bed bath every visit, perform dressing, oral hygiene, and incontinence care. Client has a foley catheter. Change and wash Sheets. Turn every 2 hours and float heels. Meal prep and assist with feeding him, Also Assist with him drinking out of cup with straw. Client has decreased Function of left hand and no function of right hand which is dominant. Provide med reminders.Perform light housekeeping. Sweep, MOP, Dust as needed, Wash dishes and wipe counters.
Shifts range from 10 to 12 hours a day, typically starting at 9am/10am.

Typical duties
● Assist clients with personal hygiene, including shower/baths, and oral care
● Assist with toileting and/or incontinence care
● Help with transferring
● Assist with walking/ambulating, including the use of walkers and wheelchairs
● Give medication reminders
● Errands and/or accompanying to appointments
● Light housekeeping and laundry
● Escorting clients to and from meals and/or activities
● Meal/snack preparation and assistance with eating when appropriate
● Companionship Responsibilities
● Assist clients with personal hygiene, including shower, tub or bed baths, oral care, hair and skin care.
● Assist clients in the use of toilet facilities, including bed pans.
● Assist clients in and out of bed, excluding the use of mechanical lifting equipment unless
● trained and documented as competent.
● Assist clients with walking, including the use of walkers and wheelchairs, when applicable.
● Assist clients with self-administration of medications.
● Meal preparation and feeding, when required.
● Assist with prescribed exercises when the client and the aide have been instructed by the appropriate health professional.
● Record and report changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior or appearance to supervisor or Case Coordinator.
● Documenting services delivered in accordance with FirstLight Home Care policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
-6 months experience in companion or personal care
-Certified Nursing Assistant license registered with the board of nursing
-Ability to carry out directions, verbally communicate with clients and staff, read and write.
-Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
-Proof of current state issued driver's license and valid auto insurance
-Current TB test
-Current CPR and First Aid Certification
-Pass drug screen
-Clear background check
Lifting Requirements Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary:
-Ability to participate in physical activity.
-Ability to work for an extended period of time while standing and being involved in physical activity.
-Heavy lifting.
-Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.
Personal Care Assistant (PCA) An individual who has completed personal care training and is competent to perform assigned functions of personal care to the client in their residence.
Qualifications:
1. Must have completed a personal care training program and competency.
