Dependable caregivers with heart are encouraged to apply. If you have experience caring for a loved one or friend, that is considered valuable experience. Should you have experience with advanced dementia and significant personal care, that will yield a higher pay rate.
Many clients have pet companions- comfortability around pets is preferred.
Duties:
- Provide personal assistance and support to individuals in their daily activities, being
prepared to assist with personal care needs, including toileting and showering
- Prepare meals and ensure dietary needs are met
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Drive individuals to appointments, activities, and outings
- Assist with lifting, up to 50 lbs, and be able to bend, twist, push and pull to assist clients
with daily tasks
- Respect and uphold resident rights and confidentiality
Experience:
- Previous experience as a caregiver with hands-on personal care experience and transfer
equipment is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques regarding dementia is beneficial
- Experience in meal preparation and maintaining cleanliness is desired
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
