Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Monitor patients’ health by observing their physical and emotional well-being.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transportation to appointments or outings.
- Offer memory care support for clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience in caregiving or a related field such as social work or home community care is preferred.
- Knowledge of senior care practices, patient monitoring, first aid, and memory care techniques.
- Strong cooking and cleaning skills to maintain a healthy living environment for clients.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while being adaptable to changing client needs.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others live comfortably and independently.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
