FirstLight Home Care of Minneapolis West & South Metro is a growing company with part-time caregiver positions available IMMEDIATELY.

We are currently giving 50 Couch-Up Care points to all candidates who finish the on boarding process quickly and have their first shift. These points can be used for gift cards, and more!
Job Title: Caregiver (In Home Care)
Job Status: Part-time, Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Schedule: Part-time, daytime hours, EO weekend, and holidays as needed; more details discussed in interview. Hours will be given to employees who have more availability and who complete training and onboarding processes quickly and are ready to work. The expectation is to build working hours over time. Hours are based on several factors, such as client need/location, employee hours of availability to work.
Compensation: Starting at $18-$21 per hour based on experience, certifications, and qualifications. Candidates highly qualified, experienced, with flexibility in working hours and locations, a pattern of good attendance, performance, and reliability, may be eligible for higher compensation upon hire or after 90 days of employment. Candidates with a valid CNA registration with the state of MN will start at $20/hr.

Location: West & South Metro Minneapolis and surrounding areas, including but not limited to Bloomington, Burnsville, Plymouth, Apple Valley, St. Louis Park, Edina and Hopkins, Eden Prairie, and more.
Summary of Key Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one care in a client's home or place of residence.
- Provide care and assistance with activities of daily living including but not limited to:
- Bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and incontinence care
- Assistance with mobility / transfers
- Meal and snack preparation and feeding
- Medication Reminders
- Sorting/organizing mail
- Monitor and record, and report the client's condition
- Perform light household chores
- Provide transportation to assist with client errands, grocery shopping as needed.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- CNA Certification (Preferred NOT Required)
- Preferred 1 year of caregiving experience
- MUST HAVE: Reliable transportation to and from work
- MUST HAVE: Valid driver's license AND Valid MN Auto Insurance
- MUST HAVE: Reliable cell phone with active service
- Preferred experience with Hoyer lifts and other lifts.
- The ability to complete 14 (paid) Hours of online training (completed remotely)
- Can complete onboarding process quickly and effectively
- Provide negative tuberculosis screen results
- Fingerprints (if required)
- Attend onsite Orientation
- Maintain professional appearance
- Ability to perform Personal Care
- Can communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing, including English fluency.
