This position requires a strong commitment to resident rights, dignity, and privacy while adhering to care plans and best practices. *Responsibilities* - Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. - Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs. - Provide support for residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments, ensuring their safety and comfort. - Lift and transfer residents safely using proper techniques and equipment. - Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents, adhering to hygiene standards. - Document care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions accurately. - Respect resident rights and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. - Collaborate with nursing staff and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care. - Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. *Experience* - Previous experience in a group home or home care setting is preferred. - Familiarity with dementia care practices and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus. - Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for them effectively. - First aid certification is desirable; willingness to obtain if not currently certified. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. - A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
