FirstPoint, Inc. is a leading national provider of information and operation services, background screening resources, revenue cycle management, call center services, decision data and association management. We currently have an opening for an Account Manager in our Raleigh, NC association management division.


Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for administrative operations of small and mid-sized clients: assist client’s governing board with organizational growth and development; promote good financial management; assist FPMR Accounting Department in the filing of timely corporate and tax reports; maintain minutes, corporate records, correspondence, and files in good order; promote positive public relations with constituents and community-at-large; provide strategic planning guidance; answer queries on organizational matters; serve as liaison with industry national associations; may supervise other staff depending on size and scope of work of client. May require travel in North America or abroad for board meetings and conferences.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


· Assist Governing Boards—Understand and articulate organizational governance. Advise and counsel board constituents on organizational matters. Maintain and consult bylaws and other governing documents as needed. Lead strategic planning sessions and prepare implementation developed during the planning process. Propose strategies for organizational growth and development. Take and distribute organizational minutes.

· Financial Management—Responsible for preparing or assisting the client’s treasurer in preparing budgets, adhering to financial parameters set by board, coding accounts payable, overseeing revenue-producing operations, reviewing financial statements, assisting boards with monitoring investments, overseeing year-end audit/review, submitting tax returns and other financial reports on a timely and accurate basis, and maintaining general financial solvency and viability of client(s).


· Constituent Service and Public Relations—Respond to constituent inquiries, implement constituent services as directed by board (either explicitly or implicitly), maintain professional attitude, interact with related organizations (associations, governmental bodies, etc.) to promote the client’s mission and goals, seek means to grow the constituent of the client, and represent the client at related organization functions. Program of work may include meeting planning, constituent recruitment and retention, publications and communications, volunteer recognition, government relations and advocacy, and credentialing and testing.


· Supervision of Staff—With the board, determine association(s)’s program of work and assign duties to support staff and self in a manner most cost-effective to client(s) to implement client(s)’s program of work. Supervise work product produced by staff and help General Manager evaluate staff performance. Meet with staff periodically to review progress. Mentor and coach staff for peak performance and to answer questions/remove impediments to work production and efficient/effective results.


Marketing—Work with FPMR General Manager and other FPMR staff to maintain, promote, and solicit new client business.


· Administrative—Support the organizational structure of FPMR by attending staff meetings, working on task forces, seeking professional development opportunities, working in a team atmosphere and cooperating with other staff constituents, and completing paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner. Training—Work with other FPMR staff constituents to develop and deliver needed training and professional development, including group training and one-on-one mentoring.


· Support the organizational structure of FPMR by attending staff meetings, working on taskforces, and assisting other staff constituents in a team atmosphere.


· Assist other FPMR Account Managers with operational functions as assigned by General Manager.


· Meeting planning and site coordination.


· Publications, communications, and Web site content.


· Education, continuing education, and curriculum development.


· Training—Work with other FPMR staff constituents to develop and deliver needed training and professional development, including group training and one-on-one mentoring.


· Perform other tasks as assigned.


Work Environment

· This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. May work remotely when approved by management.


Computer Skills

· Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software – especially Word and Excel.

· Keyboard skills.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

· This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.


Travel

· Occasional travel may be required.


Required Education and Experience

· College degree and/or two to three years’ experience in business or association-related work.

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
