What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Technical Accounting or Financial Reporting position at firstPRO 360?
FirstPro360 continues to partner with top companies in the Atlanta Metro area! We are seeking a qualified and experienced Manager of Financial Reporting OR Manager of Technical Accounting for a highly reputable Fortune500 company in Sandy Springs.
The ideal candidate will have a CPA and experience in Big 4 or with a large public accounting firm. A mix of public accounting and industry is also great.
Key Duties:
Responsible for managing the external reporting processes to ensure all governmental filings (e.g., Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
Assisting in researching and documenting the appropriate accounting treatment of transactions based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
This position directs specialists and supervisors.
- Manages and Develops Others
- Prepares Governmental and Quarterly Filings and Related Information
- Researches Financial Accounting Issues
- Reviews Accounting Entries and Related Information
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
5-8 years of experience in accounting
Public accounting with a large firm required
Corporate accounting at a large publicly traded company a plus but not must
CPA a plus
