Configuration Analyst

*This job can sit onsite in either Massachusetts, or New Jersey

W2, C2C, 1099 accepted

Long term contract opportunity

No relocation acceptable for this - Must be local and available to interview in person

Will be working onsite 4 days/week

Heavy Configuration exp- need someone who can do coding/ altering.

Adding tables/Adding dependencies & Building screens etc

Example- take a business req doc, do into the tables, review the technical requirements. Go into the sapiens system and build it out. Needs someone who is hands on with configuration exp with Sapien, Duckcreek or Guidewire.

Ideal candidate would like to come from P&C background and have an understanding of policy side (rating/billing/how an algorithm works etc)

The Systems Analyst recommends approaches for the design of a business solution by interacting with Business Partners and System Engineers. By developing technical specifications, the Systems Analyst will clearly articulate an approach to meet Business Goals. In order to accomplish this goal they act as a liaison between vendors, technical staff and the Business Partners. Systems Analyst will also configure code in our Claims Pro.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Client Relationships

• Develop relationships with client personnel that foster positive client relationships
• Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships

Communication

• Conduct effective project progress evaluations in a timely manner
• Communicate information to the development team by writing technical specifications documents
• Prepare presentations using standard format and conduct sessions with business and technical audience
• Adhere to the project’s timeline and keep the Project Manager apprised of status, issues, and progress; attend project status and team meetings
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills needed to establish good rapport, generate enthusiasm, negotiate priorities, and to resolve conflicts between various groups
• Prepare both written and verbal communications in a professional manner Deliver information in a concise and professional format to staff in a formal setting
• Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully

Leadership/Project Management

• Assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules
• Work with other team members to ensure timely and high quality deliverables

Development

• Code/Configure changes in the Sapiens’ Core Suite

Testing

• Thoroughly Unit Test all configuration/development
• Participate in System Testing process, with QA team
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing process
• Document test cases and use them for long term regression testing

Qualifications and Education:

• Property & casualty insurance industry experience preferred, specifically in claims
• Minimum of 1 year of Associate Systems Analyst or Business Analyst-related experience
• BA/BS degree required (computer science or related field preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Project).

• Well organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in order to meet demanding deadlines
• Quickly understand the business issues and data challenges of client’s organization and industry
• Analytical thinker who can make informed decisions quickly and manage multiple work streams
• Ability to analyze reported issues to determine root cause

Service and Support

• Consistently deliver high-quality services to our clients
• Demonstrate an understanding of software development principles
• Provide support to Product, Underwriting, Claims, and Finance teams, often during non-business hours.
• Perform on-call support for systems or applications as assigned.

Technologies and Tools

• Knowledge of Property Casualty Insurance.
