Digital Content Specialist

The Digital Content Specialist will maintain and enhance a corporate intranet and communications platform, ensuring it serves as a primary destination for internal news and resources. This role requires technical proficiency, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. This is a hybrid, 12-month consulting opportunity that requires 3 days per week onsite in Camden, NJ. Compensation for this role is up to $35/hr., based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily content updates, announcements, and special requests using SharePoint, HTML, Markdown, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and publish content, providing feedback and ensuring brand alignment.
• Proofread and edit communications for clarity, formatting, and brand compliance.
• Maintain document libraries and content logs, delivering monthly activity reports.
• Monitor and respond to requests from multiple inboxes.
• Analyze usage metrics and provide recommendations for improved performance and adoption.
• Participate in web-related projects, committees, and content audits as needed.

Requirements

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SharePoint, HTML, Markdown, JavaScript, and Microsoft 365; familiarity with Adobe Professional and Google Analytics.
• Communication: Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities; excellent interpersonal skills.
• Organization: Exceptional project management and multitasking capabilities with a detail-oriented approach.
• Experience: 3-5 years in communications or web content management.
• Education: Associate degree in Communications, Multimedia, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Preferred: SharePoint certifications or related training.
