Director of FP&A, Manufacturing Reporting & Analytics
3 days a week in office/ 2 days remote
The Director of FP&A, Manufacturing Reporting & Analytics is a vital member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, providing financial guidance and strategic insights to cross-functional leaders. This role supports the Biopharmaceutical Sciences and Manufacturing Operations (BSMO) team, leading strategic financial planning, reporting, and financial modeling to help achieve company and functional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Develop and enhance consolidated BSMO financial reporting for the Income Statement and Balance Sheet to improve forecast accuracy and decision support.
- COGS Modeling: Lead the cost of goods sold (COGS) modeling and review process, partnering with finance peers and strategic sourcing to standardize COGS modeling and track improvement targets.
- Strategic Planning: Oversee the monthly operating review, quarterly forecast, annual budget, long-range plan, and other strategic planning processes for BSMO.
- Financial Guidance: Provide financial direction and strategic insights to BSMO leaders, helping to define and achieve short-term and long-term goals.
- Executive Presentations: Create executive-level presentations to communicate BSMO portfolio performance, strategic insights, key business risks, and financial recommendations.
- Accounting Close Support: Support the monthly/quarterly accounting close for expenses and accruals, ensuring compliance with SOX control requirements.
- FP&A Tools Enhancement: Enhance FP&A tools, processes, and systems to guide BSMO financial planning and portfolio tracking.
- Global Finance Representation: Represent BSMO Finance in global finance systems and process improvement initiatives.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate with other finance team members to maintain a continuous improvement mindset and promote strong communication and efficient processes.
- Team Management: Manage a direct report, with the opportunity to build and lead a high-performing finance team.
Education and Experience:
- Degree: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 10 years in FP&A, portfolio management, or related roles within the biotech, pharma, or life sciences industry, focusing on manufacturing and technical operations.
- Skills: Expert analytical and financial modeling skills, especially in portfolio analysis and strategic planning.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated success in leading process improvement and change management initiatives.
