Senior Accounting and Operations Manager/Head of Finance/Controller
Job Description The role will be an integral part of the team and supporting senior management in integrating the accounting and finance functions. This individual will also assist with day-to-day operations of the business. Acting as the right hand and reporting to the Managing Partners, this hire will own a broad set of financial responsibilities.

Tasks Include:
- Assist with day-to-day financial operations, including producing treasury reports, managing cash flow, paying invoices and sending collateral to the appropriate venues. - Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process for monthly and long-term positions, including collateral projections - Assist with the monthly close process and management reporting, - Manage the annual audit and report quarterly financials to the relevant markets - Run a timely, accurate and efficient monthly accounting close process including review of position level data and operating results required to ensure the accuracy of monthly financial records.
- Responsible for annual financial statement audit, including preparation of all supporting documentation and interacting with external auditors and fund administrators
- Identify and lead initiatives to enhance processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting process for financial close and reporting cycles
- Enhance the company’s use of relevant software and the integration of software into accounting processes and procedures
- Ensure successful calculation and completion of the company’s tax filings, working with external tax consultants
- Assist in annual operating budget process, track and report on performance relative to plan, and manage ongoing rolling forecasts
- Oversee the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reporting packages including variance analysis.
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement, forecasts, etc.) and present to the management team
- Provide recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance - Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Job Requirements:
- BA/BS in Accounting/Finance, CPA a plus but not required
- 5-8 years of experience in the financial sector or related sector
- An appreciation for being entrepreneurial and small company culture
- Demonstrated leadership experience, managing and training small teams is a plus
- Strong analytical, financial modeling and reporting skills
- Stellar analytical aptitude and an intellectual curiosity to uncover patterns and trends
- Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and month-end/year-end close process
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial and accounting software.
-SQL skills or a desire to learn SQL is a plus. - Professional presentation, reporting, and communication skills
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
