Large DE organization is looking for a new Controller. This role will support a team of 5 direct reports and the entire accounting function for this department. ***100% onsite
Description:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring adherence to GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Establish and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals, fostering growth and professional development.
- Oversee tax filings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while optimizing tax strategies.
- Develop tax planning initiatives to minimize liabilities and improve the company’s overall tax position.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory financial requirements, including audits, internal controls, and tax laws.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits, ensuring the timely preparation of necessary schedules and financial documents.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights, budget forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting processes to support business objectives.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets.
- Stay informed of updates to accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 5 years of healthcare accounting experience
- 2 years of management experience
- CPA required
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
