We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a critical role in the successful rollout of our clients new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This individual will be the key liaison between our R&D labs and the implementation team, ensuring the LIMS meets the unique needs of our business and supports efficient laboratory workflows. This role requires a deep understanding of laboratory processes, excellent communication skills, and a strong personality to effectively advocate for the business.
This is a long term consulting opportunity and has a hybrid work model in the Princeton, NJ Area.
Responsibilities:
- Workflow Analysis and Documentation: Elicit, analyze, and document existing R&D lab workflows from a data perspective, including how different labs operate and the specific business processes involved in product and packaging development. Create clear and concise Visio diagrams to visualize these workflows.
- Requirements Gathering and Translation: Act as the primary point of contact for the business, gathering and translating their needs into detailed user stories and functional requirements within Azure DevOps (ADO). Ensure requirements are clearly understood by the implementation team.
- Implementation Validation: Participate in sprint reviews and validate that the implemented solution meets the business requirements. Identify and escalate any discrepancies or issues to the product vendor, acting as the voice of the business.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with and manage expectations of various stakeholders, including lab personnel, IT, and the vendor. Facilitate meetings and workshops as needed.
- Business Advocacy: Proactively identify and address potential challenges or roadblocks. Champion the needs of the business throughout the implementation process, ensuring the LIMS supports their critical workflows and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business).
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a laboratory or scientific environment.
- Demonstrated experience with LIMS implementations.
- Deep understanding of laboratory workflows and business processes, particularly in an R&D setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and process mapping software (e.g., Visio).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong personality and ability to effectively advocate for the business.
- Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is a plus.
Salary : $75 - $85
