firstPRO is now accepting resumes for a Buyer Planner role in Waltham, MA. This is a 12 month contract and onsite 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with other procurement departments in the organization to implement Professional Services requests and improvements, ensuring proper supply chain efficiencies.
• Manage and maintain an accurate directory of Professional Services suppliers and service providers.
• Negotiate long-term contracts with Professional Services vendors to secure optimal pricing and service levels.
• Work with external Professional Services parties to analyze current cooperation and further negotiate future agreements.
• Write and maintain Professional Services procurement procedures or instructions, ensuring proper documentation is in place.
• Analyze current Professional Services flows and processes, detect possible bottlenecks, and develop proposals to optimize them.
• Responsible for evaluating Professional Services providers based on service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure profitability while maintaining high service standards.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A or B.S) required; in fields such as business management, supply chain, finance, or related disciplines.
• Experience in Business Consulting, Project Management, or Professional Services Management.
• Preferred 3 years’ experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and vendor management. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems is essential.
• An equivalent combination of education and extensive subject matter expertise along with procurement process experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education requirements listed above.
