Job Overview: The Golf Course Attendants responsibilities are to create a great golf experience on behalf of a facility that maximizes customer satisfaction and a great experience for the residents of our community.

Compensation: $16-18/hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Job Responsibilities:

The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by positions in this job classification. Not all duties assigned to every position are included, nor is it expected that all positions will be assigned every duty.

  • Must provide courteous and prompt service at all times and respond to questions in a knowledgeable concise manner.
  • Greet members and guests in a courteous and friendly manner and provide exceptional guest service.
  • Operate a point-of-sale system to charge members merchandise and/or rental purchases.
  • Communicate and respond by phone, email and in person regarding inquires, course conditions and special member events.
  • Tidy, dust and maintain the overall appearance of the Golf Shop.
  • Assist with monthly inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • The ability to acquaint themselves with virtually every facet of the operation as you could be asked frequent questions due to your immediate accessibility.
  • Must follow and fill out the outside cart/range checklist sheet provided daily; which is not limited to and some of the following:
  • Prepping, staging and washing rental golf carts.
  • Maintaining a clean, efficient, safe work environment.
  • Provide sincere and courteous service to the members and their guest.
  • Operation of golf carts and practice range equipment in a safe manner, must have a current and clean driver's license, prepares golf carts for play, cleans and stores golf carts at the conclusion of play per club standards, assists in educating golfers regarding course policies, speed of play and so forth, range maintenance duties-picks and cleans practice balls, maintains practice ball inventory in ball machines, professional conduct and dress is required at all times, maintains accurate record of golfer's, some inside golf duties included but not limited to checking in player's, billing fees, and tracking play.
  • Make sure all gates and doors are locked down at the maintenance yard prior to leaving for the day.
  • Report anything broken or suspicious with regards to club assets on the daily closing checklist.
  • Conduct a final count and verify cart fleet is complete.
  • Make sure all carts are put away in the proper staging areas and cables and locks are placed on carts.
  • All rental and utility vehicle keys are turned into the golf shop.
  • Regular and reliable attendance required based on business expectations and needs. Ability to work overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
  • Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
  • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional resources, material and supplies.
  • May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all company guidelines and safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned

  • Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • Must be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner both in written and verbal form to connect with clients, vendors and co-workers and staff.


Education: Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Possess a Valid Driver's License
  • Previous Customer Service experience is a plus
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends and holidays


Physical Requirements & Working Environment:

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to lift, push and move equipment and furniture.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Talking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with clients, guests, supervisors, associates, and vendors.
  • Must be able to communicate both on the phone and in person in order to resolve issues related to the business.
  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
  • Must be mobile enough to move around the office and during outside events; including walking on uneven surfaces and standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work with inside and outside environmental elements (noise, weather, etc.). Hours over and above normal office hours will occur, including evenings, holidays, and some weekends. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
