Job Overview:
As a Banking Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for supporting treasury functions, providing administrative support, and working within the limits of standard operating procedures.

As a Banking Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for supporting treasury functions, providing administrative support, and working within the limits of standard operating procedures.
Your Responsibilities:
- Review, process, and reply to all assigned Treasury requests from the customer relationship management (CRM) ticketing system.
- Support FirstService Financial relationship management team with opening and funding bank accounts for management clients.
- Analyze and prepare various banking documents containing clients’ personal information.
- Work with banking partners to open bank accounts for management clients.
- Work with banking partners to fund bank accounts for management clients.
- Work with banking partners to close bank accounts for management clients.
- Process electronic transfers for management clients.
- Work with local Treasury Departments to ensure new accounts are set up in Accounting Platforms and electronic transfers are recorded.
- Provide new account information to local Treasury Departments to ensure accounts are set up in Accounting Platforms.
- Updates various Excel, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and other databases for informational and tracking purposes.
- Liaison between FirstService Financial relationship management teams and banking partners to identify possible issues and inconsistencies and suggest appropriate corrective standard operating procedures.
- Assist Treasury leaders in the preparation of standing operating procedures.
- Assist with special projects and other treasury functions as needed
- Conduct business always with the highest personal, professional, and ethical standards.
- May participate in various meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified knowledge of new developments, requirements, policies, and Treasury standard operating procedures.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field from an accredited college or university,
- 2 years or more of functional experience in Banking or Cash Management;
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Property Management is a plus.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to understand effective cash management processes and be proactive in improving workflows to support & enhance cash processes and establish best practices.
- Must have excellent critical thinking skills and time-management skills to complete duties accurately and by established deadlines; and a proven ability to perform various complicated tasks with the ability to “change gears” frequently & work independently with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with programs such as MS Excel, Customer Relations Management (CRM)
- Ability to work with sensitive or confidential information.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work in a team environment, independently, and be self-driven.
