Bartender

Job Overview:

As the Bartender you will help the Scottsdale House Restaurant run smoothly by tending to bar patrons and preparing drinks while providing exceptional customer service.

Compensation: $17.00 per hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Your Responsibilities:

• Welcome and serve residents and guests at the bar in a friendly and professional manner
• Build positive rapport with regular customers
• Plan drink menus and inform customers of ongoing specials
• Open and maintain tabs throughout the shift
• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and address concerns from residents and guest
• Maintain a clean and safe work space at all times (clean tables, wash silverware and glasses, keep equipment clean, etc.)
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of all bar supplies, including alcohol, mixers, glassware, and garnishes
• Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
• Adhere to local liquor laws and regulations

Skills and Qualifications:

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and work well under pressure
• Good knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures and basic math skills
• Outstanding communication skills
• A friendly and outgoing personality, and the ability to create a welcoming environment for all residents
• Great time management skills
• Able to work nights, holidays, and weekends
• Able to prioritize and adjust to incoming demands

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 or more years of bartending experience required
• Valid Food Handlers card and liquor license required

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Comfortable working with other employees and customers
• Able to safely move and lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds

Work Hours: Full Time Varying Schedule
