Your Responsibilities:
- Supervises Billing and Collections team members and the processes for all Billing/Collections functions for client properties/associations.
- Documents, implements, and monitors processes and procedures related to internal billing and collections efforts.
- Monitors compliance with all collection-related state (Texas Property Code) and federal regulations.
- Investigates, and resolves billing and collections related discrepancies.
- Facilitates and/or conducts research on behalf of managers, accountants, customer service representatives, and executive team members pertaining to billing and collections.
- Trouble-shoots issues with accounting-related systems and/or testing new functionality related to billing, and collections.
- Ensures timely response by team members to client (internal/external) inquiries.
- Provides exemplary customer service to all clients/associations, owners, and residents.
- Assists executive team members, management, and other accounting personnel on projects and reporting.
- Participates in selection process and makes hiring recommendations.
- Orients, trains, and evaluates performance.
- Plans and assigns work, responsibilities, and duties.
- Monitors and approves time and attendance for payroll
- Addresses performance issues through corrective action and dismissal.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education/Training: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in accounting or related Business, from a four-year college or university is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of billing and collections experience is required. Property Management industry experienced preferred but not required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience supervising at least four (4) direct reports is required.
- Experience/Knowledge/Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills. Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices, ability to perform with minimum supervision and make decisions independently. Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize workload, meet hard and fast deadlines. Must be a team player. Ability to effectively lead a diverse team. Must possess strong analytical skills. Detail-oriented with multiple tasks, information organization.
