Job Overview: The Golf Course Maintenance performs the general maintenance needs of the Golf Course Maintenance Department. Under supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent, performs routine maintenance and works very closely with the maintenance and golf course staff. Positions in this class may be part or full time and may require holiday and weekend work schedules Compensation: $18.50-19.00/hr. FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future Your Responsibilities:- Performs routine daily work on golf courses.
- Will operate all golf course mowing equipment., tractors, sand rakes, trencher, utility vehicles, aerification machine and green roller.
- Will operate power hand tools such as weedeaters, edger's, blowers, chainsaws and trimmers.
- Use of manual hand tools such as shovels, hole cutters, hammers, rakes
- Skills in reading, writing, math, communications and comprehension.
- Ability to apply the necessary precautions to safety hazards associated with the area of assignment,
- Ability to work hours determined by shift assignment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to learn and apply safety precautions and practices.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with all age groups.
- Perform all functions listed above to an acceptable level without constant direct supervision and to be self-motivated.
- Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age to meet community age restriction requirements.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including split shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays.
