Job Overview:
As the Receptionist you will help the property operations run smoothly by greeting visitors, answering phone calls and performing general administrative tasks.
Compensation: $16 -18 per hour, based on experience
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly, answering questions and providing assistance
- Answer and direct phone calls professionally and courteously
- Keep the reception area and common spaces clean and organized
- Receive deliveries and manage mail and packages efficiently
- Support the organization of office events and meetings
- Update homeowner information in the appropriate systems
- Respond to homeowner inquiries with helpful and timely assistance
- Assist homeowners in processing payments
- Distribute key fobs to residents
Skills and Qualifications:
- Friendly, outgoing, and able to build rapport easily
- Skilled at identifying potential issues and resolving them before they escalate
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates excellent decision-making skills and professionalism
- Excels at prioritizing tasks and adjusting to shifting demands effectively
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Adept at diffusing tense situations with empathy and understanding
- Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite and online platforms, including data entry and resident service tools
- Willing to enforce governing documents with professionalism and a positive attitude
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or post-secondary education in business or office management is preferred.
- Customer service experience required
- HOA and/ or property management experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Work in a typical office environment, using a computer
- Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods of time

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, with a seasonal schedule:
Winter: 29 hours per week, flexible hours including 9 AM to 2 PM
Summer: 15–18 hours per week, flexible hours including 9 AM to noon
