The Landscape Technician (Seasonal) maintains an attractive, safe and pleasing environment for residents. This position is assigned to specific areas to perform and monitor landscape maintenance. Customer service is primary, and associates must maintain a good relationship with the residents, co-workers and vendors.
Compensation: $20-24/hr
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work from written work orders and verbal instruction without direct supervision
- Interface with landscape contracts to provide direction as required
- Monitor landscape contractor performance; submit reports on contractor performance
- Remove dead trees and plants as needed/approved
- Landscape installation and maintenance including trees, plants, shrubs, lawn, etc.
- Perform tree trimming as required
- Pull weeds and remove trash as needed
- Adjust automatic sprinkler controllers and repair irrigation systems
- Assist other staff members in their areas of responsibility as required
- Perform other tasks as required and directed
- Must have a clean driving record and knowledge of general maintenance equipment operation and safety procedures
- Considerable knowledge of maintenance methods and equipment operations involving roofs, parking lots, sidewalk and asphalt areas, ability to oversee and inspect contractor work
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3 years similar job experience

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75lbs.
- Possess the physical capability to walk long distances, climb stairs, and operate a motor vehicle and/or boat. Capable to work outside 100% of the time.
- Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, squat, and kneel while performing or demonstrating daily landscape tasks or operating landscape equipment.
- Possess the ability to operate 2-way radios
- Hold a valid driver’s license with acceptable record
- Ability to operate equipment appropriate to the position
