Job Description

What Would You Do? The Specifics.

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals.
  • Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Lead the financial planning and analysis efforts to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage relationships with parent companies and staff, outside auditors, California Department of Managed Healthcare financial monitoring staff, Attorneys and other financial stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, investments, and asset management.
  • Maintain all company Insurance policies.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Maintain Financial and Administrative compliance with Knox-Keene Healthcare Service Plan Act of 1975.
  • Support Company overall compliance with Knox-Keene Healthcare Service Plan Act of 1975.
  • Responsible for all company policies and procedures and that the company is adhering to all Policies and procedures.
  • Safeguard Company records.
  • Serves as a Member of the Board of Directors, the Corporate Secretary and Treasurer.Responsible for Plan Language Assistance Program
  • Head the Plan’s Public Policy Committee
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Support the overall company team to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications

Work Experience

  • 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role ((Required))
  • Knowledge of the Knox-Keene Healthcare Service Plan (Required)
  • Proven track record of managing financial operations in a healthcare or insurance environment (Required)
  • California Department of Managed Healthcare experience (Preferred)
  • Education

  • Four year college degree or equivalent experience. In Finance, Accounting, or related field (Required)
  • Master's Degree MBA (Preferred)
  • Licenses, Certifications, Professional Affiliations

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Preferred)
  • Additional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements (Required)
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. (Required)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership and across departments. (Required)
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. (Required)
