Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher to support young learners in their early education journey. This role focuses on helping children build foundational skills in areas such as letter recognition, handwriting, socialization, and emotional growth to prepare them for kindergarten.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood education best practices and a passion for creating an engaging, hands-on learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with North
Dakota Early Learning Standards.
- Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages growth and curiosity.
- Through interactive and engaging activities, teach fundamental early learning skills, including colors, shapes, numbers, and letters.
- Individualize instruction by working with children oneonone and in small groups to meet diverse learning needs.
- Develop and maintain structured daily schedules that incorporate learning, play, rest, and physical activity.
- Organize creative and exploratory activities that support cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and effectively communicate updates to parents and guardians.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, safety protocols, and classroom
hygiene procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (strongly preferred)
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification (preferred)
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working in early childhood education or a preschool setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for fostering a love of learning and creating a positive classroom
environment
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
No nights or weekends!
Location & Requirements:
Candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Bismarck, ND 58504, before starting work.
