Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- CNC Lathe Setup & Operation
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision parts and components according to blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
- Load programs into CNC machines, check tool offsets, and adjust settings as needed to meet production requirements.
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure consistent part quality and minimize downtime.
- Perform routine inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to select the appropriate tooling and machine settings.
- Quality Control & Inspection
- Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM (coordinate measuring machine) to inspect finished parts for accuracy and tolerance.
- Document inspection results and complete quality reports as required.
- Adjust machine settings as necessary to correct any deviations from specifications.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of CNC lathe machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues such as machine malfunctions, tool wear, or programming errors.
- Report any machine malfunctions or equipment issues to the maintenance team.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear to ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, including safety regulations, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification in CNC machining or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, or Haas).
- Strong understanding of machining principles, G-code, and tool offsets.
- Experience with part setup, tool selection, and troubleshooting.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with CNC lathe programming and advanced tooling techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry-standard safety procedures and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of precision.

Pay: $24.50 - $27.50 per hour
