Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Truss Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling roof and floor trusses according to engineering specifications and blueprints. This role requires a strong understanding of construction materials, precision assembly skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Truss Assembly:
- Assemble roof and floor trusses by following detailed blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Utilize hand and power tools to secure wooden or steel components, ensuring proper alignment and accurate dimensions.
- Ensure that trusses are built to meet quality standards and specifications while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Material Handling & Organization:
- Select and prepare raw materials (lumber, steel, fasteners, etc.) for truss assembly, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Organize and maintain inventory of materials to ensure timely availability during production runs.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and move components to the assembly area.
- Quality Control & Inspection:
- Inspect each truss assembly for defects, such as misalignment or improperly secured components, ensuring they meet required specifications.
- Ensure that trusses are square, properly fastened, and structurally sound.
- Perform routine quality checks and assist in resolving any discrepancies during the production process.
- Equipment & Tool Operation:
- Operate various hand tools and machines used in truss assembly, including nail guns, saws, and pneumatic tools.
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Ensure safe operation of all machinery and tools, following established safety procedures.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with other team members, including lead truss assemblers and supervisors, to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding any issues with materials, equipment, or production.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and provide feedback on process improvements when applicable.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training in carpentry, construction, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in truss assembly, carpentry, or construction is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with using hand and power tools for assembly work.
- Basic knowledge of reading blueprints and technical drawings is a plus.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all measurements and specifications are met accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety practices related to construction and manufacturing environments.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in a fast-paced setting.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, and reach for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable working in a construction or manufacturing environment, including exposure to dust and noise.
- Use of safety gear, including gloves, goggles, and ear protection, as required.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
