About the role
As an IT Security Analyst with FIS, your skills will be put to the test on the front lines of cyber-crime. Information security is at the heart of fintech, and you’ll help protect and secure highly sensitive financial data for customers around the world.
You will be part of a fast-moving security environment and will be part of the Data Protection team responsible for protecting internal and external customer data. This position interfaces with internal application teams and external partners to develop and protect sensitive data.
About the team
The role of Cyber Security Analyst with the Applied Cryptography team of the Data Protection group involves closely working with end users to review their application architecture for sensitive data protection, providing tools and support needed to secure the data from attack surface.
In this fast-paced environment, you will be working with internal and external application developers across different business units. Protecting sensitive data wherever it exists is the mission for this team. You will be involved in state-of-the-art tools to protect data at rest and in transit, on-prem and cloud. What you will be doing
- Administer Transparent and Application-Level data protection tools such as Voltage SecureData and CipherTrust Manager.
- Responsible for cryptographic key management throughout the key life cycle.
- Administer key management tools deployed on cloud and on-premises.
- Assist server administrators in installing and uninstalling encryption agents on Windows, Linux, and AIX platforms.
- Monitor and respond to alerts related to data protection tools.
- Troubleshoot data protection-related incidents.
- Respond to information security-related questions and inquiries using established information security tools and procedures.
- Interface with the user community to understand security needs and implement procedures to accommodate them.
- Ensure that the user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.
- Maintain security systems and administer security policies to control access to systems.
- Ensure that all servers are hardened for compliance and / or industry standards.
- Ensure that the company meets all security standards for internal or external audits.
- Represent configuration changes and major upgrades in change control.
- Coordinate with patching teams and scanning to remediate vulnerabilities.
- Actively participate in daily standup meetings with team members to discuss ongoing tasks.
- Work with Vendors in reporting and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Ensure that all documentation is up to date.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
