Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 3 HUD residential properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HUD property management principles, Fair Housing regulations, and a proven track record in conflict management. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to negotiate effectively, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of community management and tenant satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, taking in maintenance calls, and tenant relations.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other legal requirements.
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and conflicts in a professional manner.
- Coordinate property maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of repairs by communicating with the main office.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess condition and identify necessary improvements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records related to leasing agreements, tenant files in accordance with HUD rules and property maintenance.
- Develop and implement marketing plans in accordance with HUD procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in HUD property management
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and legal administrative practices.
- Experience in conflict management and resolution within a property setting.
- Familiarity with property maintenance processes.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks including filing, office management, and record keeping per HUD Guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with tenants and co-workers.
- A background in HUD property management is highly required.
