Furniture Delivery Driver - Full Time or Part Time

We are seeking a motivated, responsible and friendly individual to join the delivery team at Fischer Furniture.

A Day in the Life as a Furniture Delivery Driver:

You will be responsible for the delivery of home furnishing goods to the homes of our customers, including lifting and maneuvering heavy items (up to 75 lb.) on a regular basis. A typical day starts by loading furniture into our delivery trucks to then be delivered, unloaded, and setup at the proper location while working directly with our customers for placement and demonstrating. Other duties include transferring of merchandise to other store locations, assembling and preparing merchandise for our showrooms, and occasional warehouse duties. We offer hands-on training to help you succeed and grow.

Requirements & Responsibilities:

An ideal candidate is an energetic individual capable of lifting heavy products in a safe and professional matter while meeting our customer’s expectations and driving safely. If you are motivated and enjoy hands-on work, this is a great opportunity for you. Other qualifications include:

• Driver’s License with a Good Driving Record Required
• No CDL necessary
• Operate the delivery vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
• Setup and installation of furniture
• Keeping within the delivery schedule time window
• Accurately communicate and document the delivery transaction with the customer
• Assist in the warehouse or showroom as needed

Schedule:

• 8 Hour Shifts
• Saturdays
• 2 Days off per Week including Every Sunday Off
• Holidays except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day

Work Location:

As a Furniture Delivery Driver, you will load and unload at our various store locations and warehouses and conduct home deliveries up to a 150-mile radius of Rapid City.
