What are the responsibilities and job description for the Route Delivery Driver position at Fischer Thompson Beverages Inc?
Fischer-Thompson Beverages, Inc. is a beverage wholesaler that supplies drinks to all licensed businesses in Central/NW New Jersey. The Route Delivery Driver will be responsible for delivering beverages and snacks to smaller format corporate stores (convenience/drug/gas) such as Quick Chek, Wawa, CVS, Walgreens, etc. in addition to independent retailers like bagel/pizza shops, delis, schools, etc.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver products to customers on time and in good condition
- Load and unload product from the delivery vehicle
- Follow delivery routes and schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery records
- Collect payments from customers, if required
- Report any delivery issues or concerns to the supervisor
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Resolve any customer issues or complaints
M-F 6:30 am to finish.
Pay based on experience, minimum of $18/hr.
Opportunity for advancement as trained.
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent driving skills
- Comfortable with driving larger vehicles: delivery vans up to 26k lb box trucks
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Physical fitness to lift heavy(25lbs ) goods and merchandise products
- Ability to read and follow delivery instructions and maps
