What does a successful Postgres DBA do at Fiserv?
Join our dynamic team as a Postgres DBA, where you'll manage and support enterprise databases in fast-paced environments. You'll work with cutting-edge on-premise and cloud technologies, collaborating closely with application and support teams to optimize performance and drive innovation. If you're passionate about database management and eager to make an impact, this is the role for you.
What you will do :
- Will be the SME for a platform that supports close to 1 million credit card transactions / day.
- Manage and optimize our Postgres databases, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with our application team to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Utilize your expertise in ETL processes to integrate data effectively across our systems.
- Leverage your 10 years of experience in relational database systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle, with a strong preference for Postgres.
- Take charge of installing, upgrading, and maintaining our database software to keep everything up to date.
- Automate manual tasks to improve efficiency and minimize downtime, showing your passion for innovation.
- Participate in a 24x7 support rotation, ensuring our databases are always operational and ready to perform.
