Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus.
- Manage the flow of guests in the restaurant by coordinating seating arrangements.
- Handle reservations and ensure timely seating for all guests.
- Maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods and communicate wait times effectively to guests.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about menu items and reservation availability.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area.
- Provide exceptional guest services that align with our hospitality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with guest services and hospitality principles is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience using Aloha POS or other point-of-sale systems is a plus but not mandatory.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are key attributes for success in this role.
