We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and nurturing relationships with existing clients. Your primary focus will be on lead generation and conducting site visits to meet with leads and discuss custom solutions tailored to meet their specific process needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service and a deep understanding of industrial equipment.
Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers through effective communication and proactive follow-up.
- Conduct cold calling to identify potential clients and generate leads, ensuring a steady pipeline of opportunities.
- Upsell products and services to existing customers to maximize revenue and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Perform inside sales activities as needed to support overall sales efforts, providing a seamless customer experience.
- Analyze market trends to identify new opportunities for growth within our existing service area and beyond.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for lead generation and customer engagement, sharing insights and best practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process to ensure high levels of client retention and satisfaction.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the value of our solutions.
- Track sales metrics and report on progress towards targets to manage customer interactions and data.
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales or a similar role is preferred; experience in B2B sales is highly advantageous.
- Strong skills in relationship building and lead generation are essential, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- A background in industrial production or industrial equipment supply is a significant plus, with knowledge of HVAC, pumps, or related systems being particularly beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to build rapport with clients and convey complex solutions effectively.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple accounts effectively, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) would be an advantage but not required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within the assigned territory.
