Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually

- Assist with engineering design for energy, utility, and infrastructure projects
- Work on grading, stormwater management, erosion control, and site development plans
- Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and stormwater inspections

The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Perform routine engineering design tasks based on focused input from more experienced engineers assigned to the project design team.
- Work with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Technicians and CADD Operator/Drafters in the development of plans, profiles, grading, and typical sections.
- Perform in-depth field investigations, routine to moderately complex research, and quantity estimating.
- Review comments made by clients and regulatory agencies and transfer the appropriate comments to a working set of drawings for drafting, as required by the Project Manager
- Perform site and field work, including field-measured documentation, existing facility inventory, and site investigation.
- Coordinate with team members to produce contract documents, including the preparation of special specifications and special notes.
- Complete assignments efficiently in a timely and complete manner as required by the Project Manager by coordinating multiple personal work tasks.
- Perform 3-D modeling and other specialized studies under the supervision of the Project Manager and other Engineers.
- Perform construction oversight for permit compliance of Energy related projects such as Electrical Transmission, Gas line Replacement, and/or Renewable Energy projects
- Support Utility and Renewable projects for Stormwater Inspections
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with clients, as arranged by the Project Manager by reviewing and addressing client and regulatory agency comments
- Coordinate with team members to produce contract documents while exercising an increasing measure of sound engineering judgement in decision making and project related problem solving
- Participate in project team meetings and attend client meetings with and as requested by the Project Manager.
Education & Experience
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 0 – 5 years of experience
- Experience in designing and creating plan sets in AutoCAD programs and Civil3D preferred.
- Experience with SWPPP preparation preferred.
- Experience with hydrology modeling preferred.
