Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 annually
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. Essential Functions
- Effectively complete work assignments related to highway design, drainage design, alignments, and other duties applicable to these projects.
- Develop preliminary and detailed final design plans and cost analysis for new highway projects or improvements to existing infrastructure that meet client’s goals.
- Ensure designs adhere to safety standards, local regulations, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of project details, including design documents, progress reports, and budget information.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients, subconsultants and regulatory approving agencies.
- Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- Attend routine project design meetings and coordinate regularly with the technical staff, to complete the project within the assigned project budget and on schedule.
- Provide mentoring, direction and oversight to internal design staff.
- Assist Project Manager with project presentations, proposed project schedules and development tasks assigned by the Project Manager.
Education & Experience
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 10-15 years minimum of transportation experience, highway engineering experience preferred.
- Professional Engineering License required.
- Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads.
