Fisher Construction Group is looking for a reliable and hardworking Civil Laborer to join our construction team. As a Civil Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction and civil engineering tasks, such as excavation, shoot grade, pipe laying, site preparation, material handling, and maintaining safety and cleanliness at construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing job sites by clearing debris, excavating, and leveling ground to ensure proper foundation for construction projects.
- Utilize shooting level equipment to establish and maintain accurate grades, ensuring proper alignment for grading, excavation, and drainage work.
- Operate basic construction equipment, such as shovels, pickaxes, and wheelbarrows.
- Transport and handle construction materials, including cement, pipes, rebar, and tools.
- Help install structures such as foundations, drainage systems, and roadways.
- Assist with demolition tasks, including removing debris and dismantling existing structures.
- Set up and remove construction site barriers, signs, and other safety equipment.
- Work in compliance with safety regulations and procedures to ensure personal and team safety.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and other team members on specific tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, and physically demanding environments.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
