Heavy Equipment Operator Job Summary
\We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, maintaining equipment, and working safely in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
\- Operate heavy equipment, including skid-steer loaders, dozers, crushers, and excavators
- Daily servicing and maintenance of equipment
- Setup and tear-down of plants
- Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor
- General housekeeping of equipment and plants daily or as directed by supervisor
- Lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds on a regular basis
- Use a shovel to move material as needed
- Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by M.S.H.A. and company policy
- Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards of safety
Requirements:
\To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A minimum age of 18 years old
- Ability to operate heavy equipment efficiently and safely
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment and ability to perform routine maintenance
- Basic knowledge of welding and cutting torch use
- Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy
- MSHA Part 46 and/or Part 48 certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including heat above 100 degrees, cold, rain, and snow
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and maintain a safe work environment
