POSITION SCOPE
The Dozer Operator will be responsible for operating a D8/D9 dozer to efficiently and effectively construct embankment and fill areas on a project.
This position may include day or night shift work, travel, overtime, and weekend work.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Safe and efficient operation of D8 and D9 dozers to meet production targets
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
- Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
- Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
- Safety compliance with all OSHA, MSHA, and company policies, procedures, and Fisher's safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of earth moving experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy
- OSHA certification or willingness to obtain certification - company will pay for certification
- Must hold an M.S.H.A. 5000-23 certificate
- Part 48 Mining Certified
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to follow and enforce safe work practices
- Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision
- Extended out-of-town travel, night shift, and/or weekend work may be required Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
