POSITION SCOPE
The Equipment Mechanic will perform routine maintenance as well as minor and major repairs on all of the equipment in the rolling stock fleet. They will be responsible for examining the equipment when it is in for scheduled service to determine additional service needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Perform regular scheduled service to all equipment
- Perform major repairs when needed to the equipment
- Document and discuss with supervisor of any major repairs that are discovered
- Maintain an orderly work area
- Document all service work done to equipment
- Mechanics are expected to supply their own personal tools
- May need to attend additional training sessions with different equipment manufacturers
- Perform other duties as assigned
