Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various equipment, including skid steers, loaders, dozers, crushers, or excavators, to meet project specifications and deliver high-quality results.
This role requires occasional travel, providing opportunities to work in diverse environments and expand your skillset.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment with precision to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion, meeting project deadlines.
- Assist with setup and teardown of plants as needed, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and services on equipment, maintaining optimal performance and extending lifespan.
- Maintain daily housekeeping of equipment and plants, promoting a safe and organized workspace.
- Lift objects weighing 80 pounds regularly, demonstrating physical capabilities and stamina.
- Use shovels to move materials as necessary, showcasing adaptability and flexibility.
- Adhere to safety guidelines set by M.S.H.A. and company policy, prioritizing employee well-being and safety.
- Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment before startup, guaranteeing reliability and efficiency.
- Prioritize safety above all else and comply with company policies and standards, embodying a culture of responsibility and accountability.
- Complete other tasks as assigned, demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow.
Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old, meeting basic eligibility criteria.
- Able to operate equipment efficiently to meet project specifications, possessing relevant skills and experience.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of equipment and ability to perform routine maintenance, demonstrating technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of basic welding techniques and use of a cutting torch, highlighting versatility and adaptability.
- Meet Fisher's Company Vehicle Program requirements, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Hold MSHA part 46 and/or part 48 certification or be willing to obtain it (company will cover costs), showcasing commitment to professional development and growth.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, demonstrating resilience and stamina.
- Pass a pre-employment drug test, ensuring a healthy workplace and promoting employee well-being.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment, highlighting strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
- Occasional travel is required, presenting opportunities for growth and expansion.
