POSITION SCOPE

Primary Duties
- Oversee and direct all phases of construction projects, forecast job costs, estimate change orders, and track items for reimbursement. Maintain clear communication with owners and project teams.
- Review project proposals to assess time frames, staffing needs, project schedules, and resource allocation.
- Ensure adherence to all contractual obligations.
- Participate in on-site value engineering studies to reduce costs and enhance value.
- Monitor project budgets and hold monthly discussions with the VP or senior PM on financial performance.
- Ensure proper accounting practices for change orders and force accounts are followed.
- Collaborate with necessary departments and subcontractors to establish work schedules and make adjustments as needed.
- Engage with customers, vendors, and project teams to identify and resolve barriers that affect production and costs.
- Ensure all submittals, RFIs, and change orders comply with contract documents.
- Manage project setups, including trailers and communication systems.
- Maintain submittal logbooks and track quantities effectively.
- Prepare and present forecasts to upper management to guarantee project timeliness.
- Conduct meetings with owners, engineers, contractors, plants, and field crews to verify construction accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze plans and specifications to determine optimal completion procedures.
- Coordinate and supervise project teams to guarantee quality assurance.
- Develop, control, and update project schedules as required.
- Stay vigilant for unproductive situations and seek opportunities for project improvements.
- Review field operations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Compile project status reports and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Achieve project milestones and financial targets within budget.
- Provide insights during bidding processes to secure future work.
- Willing to travel extensively and manage projects on-site.
- Responsible for project closeout procedures.
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a PM in the horizontal construction industry.
- A minimum of 3 years of construction experience on public works or DOT projects.
- Experience with Caltrans projects is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong sense of integrity.

- Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods.
- Solid understanding of highway construction, blueprint reading, and computer skills.
- Willingness to travel and live off-site during construction phases.
- Ability to perform strenuous activities and comply with safety equipment requirements.
- Aptitude to work in varying outdoor temperatures and site conditions.
- Capability to operate personal or company vehicles for business purposes.
