Job Description
The Class A CDL Truck Driver is a safety-sensitive position responsible for transporting aggregates and asphalt to job sites. Drivers will be exposed to various situations and equipment while performing their assigned tasks. They must ensure the safe operation of their assigned equipment and provide excellent customer service.
Drivers are responsible for inspecting their equipment at least twice daily and reporting any deficiencies to their supervisor or mechanics. Additionally, they must ensure compliance with all DOT, state, and local traffic and highway laws, rules, and regulations, as well as safely operate all equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement or the ability to acquire endorsement
* Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
* Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy
* Asphalt paving experience is preferred but not required; we will train you
* Ability to speak, read, understand, and write in English
* Strong judgment and decision-making skills for work site access, unloading, and operation to and from work sites
