The Opportunity :
As we modernize our systems at Fisher Investments, we are excited about building innovative solutions powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning. In this role, you will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to identify opportunities, design solutions, and ensure the successful delivery and support of applications. You will lead both internal teams and consulting partners to enhance the efficiency of our operations for our prospects and clients.
Your role will involve working closely with business stakeholders, innovation team members, IT teams, and other partners to pinpoint challenges and craft AI / ML-driven solutions. You'll implement and support these solutions using enterprise systems like Salesforce and Microsoft Azure, reporting directly to the Vice President - Shared Business Services.
Your Responsibilities :
Engage with users and technology leaders to define priorities and translate them into actionable engineering roadmaps that leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Lead architectural discussions with stakeholders and vendors to create a long-term strategy for integrating AI / ML technologies across our applications.
Oversee the design and implementation of AI / ML solutions focused on automation and process optimization within our core systems.
Develop and manage a team of AI / ML engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning while attracting top talent.
Ensure the architecture of AI systems is robust, scalable, secure, and compliant, establishing practices for model evaluation, governance, and monitoring to maintain operational excellence.
Handle managerial responsibilities including recruiting, mentoring, and assessing team performance.
Oversee all phases of various projects from initial vision to deployment.
Work onsite in a collaborative team-based environment.
Your Qualifications :
7 years of progressive software engineering experience specializing in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
4 years of management experience leading complex, large-scale projects and making strategic technical decisions.
Ability to convey intricate AI / ML concepts to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Broad experience in the systems development lifecycle with knowledge in cloud-native architectures, infrastructure, application architecture, data architecture, and security.
Proven expertise in AI / ML technologies, including deep learning, NLP, and various other models, with a strong emphasis on model monitoring and governance.
Understanding of ethical AI practices, with experience implementing strategies for fair and unbiased AI solutions.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
Compensation :
145,000 - $200,000 base salary per year. New hires typically start at the lower end of this range based on experience.
Eligible for discretionary bonuses based on individual and company performance.
