The Opportunity :

The Senior DevOps Tools Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that the tools used in our Agile development processes are running smoothly and efficiently for our application development teams. As a vital member of the DevOps team, you will be pivotal in supporting the Technology organization by providing the necessary tools and platforms to facilitate Agile planning and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) practices. You will report to the DevOps and Tools Team Leader within the Application Engineering team.

Your Daily Responsibilities :

Collaborate with the DevOps and Tools and Application Development Team Lead to outline application development processes, tool strategies, execution roadmaps, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance with established practices.
Configure and maintain cloud-based Atlassian tools to enhance application development efficiencies and optimize operational stability.
Design and implement tools and processes that enhance automation in development while ensuring compliance with security and audit standards.
Integrate and configure additional frameworks and tools as part of our commitment to Agile at scale.
Cultivate the use of DevOps tools across various Technology groups.
Develop strategies to improve or maximize the current use of DevOps processes and tools.
Monitor system availability and performance within designated timeframes.
Address issues, alerts, and incidents promptly, adhering to predefined service level agreements regarding system performance and availability.
Communicate effectively with other departments regarding service interruptions, performing root cause analysis as necessary.
Provide round-the-clock international support through on-call duties, including a flexible schedule for planned and unplanned maintenance activities.

Your Qualifications :

A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including :

Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform, AppDynamics, Splunk, or similar.

Expertise in administering and utilizing Ansible Tower and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) for application and infrastructure automation.

Familiarity with scripting languages like Shell, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, HCL, or equivalent.

Experience deploying automation solutions within both private data centers and public clouds (Microsoft Azure, Google, AWS, etc.).

Strong skills in the administration of Ansible Tower / AAP for deployment automation.

A minimum of 5 years of experience with :

Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Jira Align, Confluence, and Mural, or equivalent Agile planning tools.

Creating Dockerfiles, managing images, and running containers on Kubernetes or similar environments.

A minimum of 4 years of experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as MSSQL, MySQL, SQL, Postgres, or MongoDB.

Solid understanding of technology design principles including Containerization, Performance, Security, Availability, Monitoring, and Support Operations.

Able to :

Train IT product delivery teams in the effective use of DevOps tools and methodologies, with a focus on enterprise application development.

Inspire peers to continuously enhance processes and outcomes.

Plan and manage work effectively, resolving technical challenges as they arise.

Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field required; advanced degrees in relevant disciplines are a plus.
