What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance & Facilities Manager position at FISHER PACKING COMPANY?
The Manager of Maintenance and Facilities is responsible for maintaining all equipment and facilities in good working order to ensure safe, sanitary and efficient plant operations at three, closely located locations. The position requires knowledge of typical facility mechanical systems including refrigeration and equipment control systems.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop, maintain and execute preventive maintenance programs in an organized and timely manner with proper follow-up and documentation
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime
- Maintain facility structures and mechanical systems
- Manage equipment and facility contractors’ work for quality, safety and performance
- Manage ground maintenance contractors and activities
- Requisition of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies
- Maintain a safe, clean and hazard free work environment
Qualifications:
- 10 years’ experience in facilities and equipment maintenance
- Excellent knowledge of refrigeration, electrical equipment and control systems
- Ability to analyze and interpret equipment manuals and schematics
- Experience with modern food processing and packaging equipment a plus
- Academic coursework, degrees and/or certifications will also be considered
