Fisher Patterson Sayler & Smith, LLP, a midsize civil litigation defense law firm, is seekinga full-time paralegal for their Overland Park office. A minimum of three year’s legal experience is preferred. Responsibilities include maintaining case dockets and attorney calendars, coordination of day-to-day case management tasks and deadlines, assisting attorneys with deposition preparation, collecting and summarizing medical and other records, document review, management and production, and assisting with the preparation of cases for trial in various jurisdictions. The successful applicant will work closely with a litigation team preparing deposition summaries, client reports, exhibits, files and all support documents.
Job Requirements:
· Paralegal certificate
· Associate/Bachelor’s degree or three years of law firm experience
· Familiarity with federal and state court rules/procedures
· Experience with electronic docketing and filing
· Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
· Detail orientated and highly organized
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Adobe PDF, Wordperfect, and Westlaw
